The Case
Family proceedings Jurisdiction. The Family Division, held that the Swedish court had lawfully taken and retained jurisdiction in proceedings regarding a child, M. Accordingly, the English court did not have jurisdiction to hear the father's applications for, inter alia, parental responsibility and interim contact.
