European Union Employment. The Court of Justice of the European Union gave a preliminary ruling concerning the interpretation of Council Directive (EC)2000-78 (establishing a general framework for equal treatment in employment and occupation) in the course of proceedings by the applicant employee against the respondent employer concerning the conditions of termination of her contract of employment.
