The Case
Sentence Custodial sentence. The Court of Appeal, Criminal Division, on a reference by the Attorney General, quashed a suspended sentence and imposed a custodial sentence of 18 months' imprisonment on an offender who had been convicted of perverting the course of public justice in relation to a contract killing.
