The Case
European Community Environment. Court of Justice of the European Communities: The Court ruled that the term 'poultry', which appeared in subheading 6.6(a) of Annex I to Council Directive (EC) 96-61 (concerning integrated pollution prevention and control), as amended by Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) 1882-2003, would have to be interpreted as including quails, partridges and pigeons.
