Sentence - Imprisonment - Length of sentence - Defendant pleading guilty to offence of sexual assault of child under 13 - Defendant receiving sentence of 15 months' imprisonment - Whether sentence manifestly excessive.
Sentence Imprisonment. Court of Appeal, Criminal Division: A sentence of 15 months' imprisonment for the offence of sexual assault against a child under 13 was not, in the circumstances, manifestly excessive. The offence had involved a breach of trust and had left the victim very confused and disturbed.
