The Case
Divorce Financial provision. Family Division: In order to achieve overall fairness to the petitioning wife, and in the light of the restricted resources available, in addition to the amount payable to the petitioner under the order of the district judge, the respondent husband would be ordered to pay a lump sum of 35,000.
