The Case
Sentence Mandatory life sentence. Where an offender had murdered his girlfriend by stabbing her a total of 14 times, for which he had no explanation, but pleaded guilty to, a minimum term of eight years was set, less five months and 29 days for time that the offender had spent in custody on remand.
