The Case
Sentence Mandatory life sentence. A minimum term of 14 years' imprisonment would be served by the offender before the early release provisions came into effect, in respect of his conviction for stabbing to death his stepfather in circumstances where the offence had been aggravated by the fact that there was evidence of a planned-killing, the offender had used dangerous weapons and had dismembered the victims body.
