The Case
The defendant's sentence of five months' imprisonment, for an offence of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, was quashed and substituted by a sentence of three months' imprisonment, in circumstances where the defendant had hit the complainant with his fist and the co-accused had hit the complainant over the head with a beer bottle.
