The Case
In the instant case, there was no ground whatsoever for interfering with the total sentence of eight years' imprisonment that had been imposed following guilty pleas in respect of 14 offences under the . The defendant had had in his possession a large number of dangerous weapons, which were both genuine and lethal; the requisite ammunition had been immediately available; and lastly, there was nothing which could lead to the conclusion that those items were for legitimate use.
