The Case

Charity Lease of charitable estate. In the instant case, the defendant charity commission had failed in its obligation to hold a fair and effective consultation on proposals by a developer to have a 125-year lease of Alexandra Park and Palace in North London, particularly after a member of Parliament had given an express assurance that before a decision would be taken on the proposals, a 'full consultation' would be held.
