The Case
Sentence Mandatory life sentence. The High Court set a minimum term of 12 years to be served by an offender who had been sentenced to life imprisonment for murder, where the offender had concealed the death; dismembered the body, moved it and disposed of it; and had told protracted lies, only admitting the offence after the retesting of DNA evidence four years after the death.
