The Case
Sentence Mandatory life sentence. Where the offender had instigated and planned the murder of a drugs courier showing no remorse, his minimum term of 20 years, which had been set following his conviction by the High Court of Justiciary sitting at Glasgow, was not varied on a review pursuant to para3 of Sch22 to the . The offender had to be treated as if his sentence had been imposed in England and the fact that the offender continued to deny the offence was not an aggravating factor affecting the minimum term to be specified.
