The Case
Sentence Fraudulent evasion of a prohibition. A sentence of 16 years' imprisonment in respect of a plea of guilty to fraudulent evasion of a prohibition (concerning the importation of cocaine with a street value of not less than 1,055,500) was quashed on appeal and substituted by a sentence of 13 years, having regard to the early plea of guilty.
