The Case
Sentence Custodial sentence. Where the 19-year-old defendant had committed a series of six violent street robberies, but had not previously committed a specified offence for the purposes of the the recorder had not only been justified but had been required to impose a sentence of imprisonment for public protection under s225 of the Act.
