Criminal law - Plea of guilty - Change in plea - Plea entered after erroneous legal advice - Judge rejecting application to vacate plea - Whether conviction unsafe.
The judge had erred in refusing the defendant permission to vacate his guilty plea, where it had been entered on the basis of erroneous legal advice that the facts alleged in his defence to charges of possession and concealment of criminal property themselves constituted the offences charged.
