The Case
On the true construction of cl6.3B of the standard JCT Agreement for Minor Building Works, the obligation on the employer to insure in the joint names of the employer and the contractor against loss or damage to, inter alia, the existing structures and 'the Works', ceased on the practical completion of the building works.
