For a murder in the course of a dispute between drug dealers, in which extensive pre-death injuries were inflicted; the body was dismembered and concealed; the car used to transport the body was destroyed by fire; and the offender had a very bad record for violence over many years, the minimum term to be served by the offender was set at 18 years, less time spent in custody on remand.
