The Case
Even though there was limited disclosure in the youth court, the principle that it was no longer acceptable for defence advocates to seek to take advantage of prosecution errors by deliberately delaying identification of an issue of fact or law in a case in the Crown Court until the last possible moment, applied equally where a statement had been served on the defence in a case before the youth court.
