The Case

The Court of Justice of the European Communities gave preliminary rulings concerning the interpretation of Council Regulation (EEC) 1408-71 (on the application of social security schemes to employed persons, to self-employed persons and to members of their families moving within the Community) and Council Regulation (EEC) 574-72 (laying down the procedure for implementing Regulation 1408-71), both as amended and updated by Council Regulation (EEC) 2001-83.
