The Case
In the circumstances of the case, the defendant solicitors had acted in breach of their retainer and negligently in compromising the claimant's judicial review claim in so far as they failed to inform the claimant that consent had been obtained from the other parties to the judicial review action, or that they had sent the order to the court acting as her solicitors, or that the order had subsequently been made.
