The Case
The defendant's conviction for manslaughter was safe because the judge had not erred in permitting the prosecution to adduce evidence of an expert witness who compared CCTV images by enhancing the images using a computer which was evidence that the defence could address. The judge had further acted within the ambit of his discretion in permitting a dock identification to take place.
