Criminal evidence and procedure - Trial - Fairness - Evidence - Witnesses screened and not named - Defendant prevented from adducing evidence going to peripheral issues - Defendant denied opportunity to cross-examine witness on certain matters going to credit - Safety of conviction.
The defendant had had the opportunity of a fair trial despite witnesses being screened and not being named in public, the defendant being required to forewarn the court before adducing evidence beyond the primary issues at trial and being denied the opportunity to cross-examine a witness on certain matters as to credit.
