The Case
On the employer's appeal against a decision of an employment tribunal that in deciding that the employee was guilty of fraudulent misconduct, the employer had not had reasonable grounds for its belief, and had not carried out a reasonable investigation, the Employment Appeal tribunal decided that the tribunal had erred in its approach to the relevant issues, and its conclusions were therefore perverse.
