The Case
On the claimants' application for, inter alia, security for costs in a pre-trial review, the court ordered, inter alia, that the defendants pay 75,000 into court as security for the claimants' costs pursuant to CPR 3.8, or alternatively, CPR 3.1(5), on the ground that the defendants had continuously failed to comply with the rules and numerous court orders with wholly inadequate explanations.
