Catchwords
Sentencing - Custodial sentence - Duration - Totality of sentence - Consideration of relevant facts.
The Case
The defendant's appeal against a total sentence of fourteen years' imprisonment for, inter alia, sexual offences would be allowed, on the grounds that, taking into account his physical disabilities, prison would have a great impact on his health. Accordingly, a reduction of three years in the total sentence would be appropriate.
