The Case
There was no apparent bias where disciplinary proceedings, which had been brought against a consultant by the General Medical Council on the basis that he had lied on oath before one of its professional standards committee, were heard by another professional conduct committee. Furthermore, as the consultant was reprimanded and not suspended, art6 of the European Convention on Human Rights was not engaged.
