Dear Law Students,
95% of the 200 UK Law Firms currently use LexisNexis as one of their main legal databases. Therefore, especially in climate where traineeships and placements are hard to come by, it is important that students know how to properly use LexisNexis!
So show firms you are clued up by getting the certificate to prove it!
I am holding certification sessions designed to teach you all the tips and tricks of LexisNexis and allow you to gain a LexisLibrary Basic User Certificate. -

Hi All,
Did you know that over 90% of the top 200 UK law firms use LexisNexis as one of their main research sources and that 4,000 judges from the Supreme Court downwards use LexisNexis?
It is now more important than ever that students make themselves stand out from the crowd when applying for those elusive traineeships and summer placements. So show them what you have got by getting the certificate to prove it!

Easter Table Day!

EASTER TABLE DAY!
Hey all! I holding an Easter table day tomorrow in the Law Workshop tomorrow from 10am!
There will be loads of chocolate and I will be on had to answer any questions you have about LexisNexis. Exams are approaching and there are loads of ways LexisNexis can help with your revision, so come down and have a chat with me.

Speed Mooting Final - Come and Watch

Tonight is the final of our LexisNexis Speed Mooting Competition.
This will be taking place in the Stone Courtroom at 5pm.
Please feel free to come along and watch! I know many of you have your Obligations moot coming up so this will be a great way to see some mooting in action!If you are coming along please come to the courtroom for 4:50pm as the main entrance to the Law School is not accessible from the outside after 5.

Law School Building Works and Drop-In Clinics

As you may have noticed there has been some building works taking place outside of the law workshop. This has meant that my drop-in's have been disrupted quite a bit. If you have been looking for me at a drop-in that is not on, I do apologize! Speed Mooting Final

Well done to all first years who took part in today's speed mooting competition !! Myself and the judges were very impressed with the effort put in and the quality of the moots.
We now have two finalist teams - Simone Farrer and Grace Cameron, and, Molly Faure and Zoe Rocks.
The final will take place next Friday (22nd) in the Stone Courtroom for anyone who wants to come along and watch!

LexisNexis will be hosting a speed mooting competition starting on Tuesday 12th February 2013. This competition is open to all first year LLB students taking Obligations 1B this semester.

Change to Drop-In Time

Hey Everyone! Sorry for the late notice, but I have to change the time of my Drop-In Clinic to 3pm - 4:30pm. This will take place in IT Room 1 of the Stair Building. Come along for some helpful LexisNexis hints and tips as well a whole selection of freebies!
Please note that this change of time is for today only, and clinics will resume at their normal time of 10:30am- 12:30pm next week.

Welcome Back!

Hi Everyone! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year and that the start of term hasn't been too stressful!
Just a reminder that my Drop-In clinics are starting up again tomorrow! For this week only the clinic will take place from 3:15pm - 5pm, in IT Room 1 of the Stair Building. Clinics will usually start at 10:30am.
This is the perfect opportunity for those of you with essays etc due to come and see how LexisNexis can help improve your research and answers! Also, for those of you starting new courses come along to see what LexisNexis has to offer.
