Wayne Clark's practice embraces all aspects of real property law, although principally relating to commercial property disputes. He is well known for his advice on business tenancies, and he is the co-author (with Kirk Reynolds, QC) of the leading work Renewal of Business Tenancies: Law and Practice (3rd edition). He undertakes a substantial amount of advisory work on development, joint venture agreements and overage provisions, being involved most recently in a dispute over a venture for the development of part of Bristol city centre (Norwich Union v Strand Street Properties Ltd (2009)).
Wayne is also the editor of another leading work, Fisher & Lightwood’s Law of Mortgage (13th edition). He undertakes a substantial amount of mortgage-related work, particularly with respect to priority disputes.
Wayne has acted as consultant editor of the 'Lien' volume of Halsbury’s Laws of England (5th edition).
