Paul has been a commercial property solicitor since 1972, when he joined Linklaters & Paines after qualification at a Gray's Inn firm in 1970. In 1984 he moved to D J Freeman, and was head of property there from 1990-2000. Since 2003 he has been a consultant with Cripps Harries Hall in Tunbridge Wells.Shopping centres and major projects have given him investment and development experience, with an emphasis on landlord and tenant.
Paul has been an enthusiast for plain language, responsible for many standard forms, including the RICS Common Auction Conditions. He is an SDLT consultant - for his own and other firms - and is well known on the CPD lecture circuit. He is practice and precedents editor for the Conveyancer.
