From March 1993 to June 1998 legal adviser to the banking supervisors at the Bank of England.

From June 1998 to date Head of Department at the FSA. Responsibilities have included advising the banking and insurance supervisors and the regulatory processes business unit. Current responsibilities include advising on confidentiality and disclosure issues, the Information Acts, the FSA’s dealings with MPs and Parliament, the FSA’s Complaints Scheme and legal claims against the FSA.
