Biography

Pedro is currently a Competition Expert with the OECD. Since he joined the OECD since 2015, Pedro has been working on a variety of competition-related topics, including the digital economy, pharmaceutical markets, energy, telecommunications, fintech, private enforcement and the interaction between competition and IP law, among other topics.

Before joining the OECD, Pedro was a lecturer in Law at the University of Reading, and a tutor at King’s College, University of London. Pedro obtained a DPhil from the University of Oxford in 2013, where he was a tutor in EU and competition law. He was also a Visiting Scholar at the European University Institute and an Associate Research Fellow at New York University’s School of Law.

In addition to his academic experience, Pedro is a qualified lawyer in Portugal and a barrister of England and Wales. He worked for Linklaters LLP in both Lisbon and London between 2005 and 2014.’
