Giulia Carloni


Giulia is an oil & gas lawyer, having worked in an international boutique firm specialising in this sector for 8 years. She has gained particular experience in the upstream sector, advising clients on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters, almost invariably of a cross-border nature.

Giulia has worked directly on a number of high profile oil & gas projects and M&A deals in Africa, Europe, Russia, Asia and the Middle East, drafting and negotiating sale and purchases agreements in relation to both share and asset deals globally, as well as being involved in negotiating numerous joint operating agreements and farmout agreements. She is also familiar with the UKCS upstream industry, having assisted clients on a number of investments made in the region.

Giulia has further assisted state energy and private companies in disputes relating to pipeline operations, price review clauses, power supply and bulk supply agreements, pipeline ownership disputes and other matters, with particular experience of international arbitration cases under UNCITRAL, LCIA and ICC Rules.
