Tom is a Senior Associate in the Intellectual Property department, where he qualified in 1999. Tom specialises in trade mark, domain name, design and copyright contentious and non contentious matters. He advises a number of major businesses in these areas.

He has acted in a wide range of disputes, including:

trade mark litigation before the English High Court;

proceedings before the UK Trade Marks Registry and Community Trade Mark Office, in trade mark prosecution and other actions;

domain name complaints before Nominet UK and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre; and a variety of design disputes, including in the fashion sector.

In the non-contentious field, Tom has extensive experience in brand clearance and filing strategies and has advised on a variety of intellectual property transactions.

Tom is the author of the practice note on ‘Example of High Court Litigation + Flowchart’ in LexisPSL IP & IT.
