Philip Brigstock


Philip is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and graduate member of The Institute of Export – International Trade. 

He studied divinity and the philosophy of education, worked in education and was a university examiner before entering the world of taxation 25 years ago.

As a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), Philip has provided specialist customs advice for more than two decades in the fields of customs duty planning, customs compliance and the impact of customs regulations on the supply chain in cross border trade. He focused on “green” and “lean” affecting the supply chain within his MBA. Philip’s CTA thesis examined the pitfalls and possibilities for businesses using the EU’s tariff suspension arrangements.

Philip’s goal is to help businesses understand and manage the impact of customs regulations and trade policies on their activities, through the provision of training, advice, advocacy and representation.
