Nigel Brahams

Nigel Brahams is a financial services and FinTech partner at Fox Williams LLP. Nigel qualified as a lawyer at Clifford Chance in 1992, and moved in house at 2 years qualified. He spent 20 years working for a series of leading legal teams in banks, brokerage firms and tech providers, including NatWest Markets, Societe Generale Nomura and State Street. Prior to joining Fox Williams LLP, Nigel was Head of Legal, EMEA at GFI Group, a leading brokerage firm from 2009- 2015. Nigel has specialised in various areas during his career, including derivatives, ISDA, repos, securities lending and clearing and settlement. Additionally, Nigel advises on financial regulatory issues including MiFID, MiFID II, the Bribery Act and Senior Managers’ & Certification Regimes as well as broader perimeter guidance.
