Matthew Bradley

Matthew specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration. In addition to commercial contract disputes of all types, his practice extends to commercial chancery & company law, civil fraud, product liability, professional negligence, banking & financial services, offshore work and energy/natural resources litigation. He has particular experience of claims involving unlawful means conspiracy and the economic torts. Much of his work is international in nature and he speaks French, German and Spanish.

He is ranked by both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500 for his experience in commercial disputes and is further ranked for product liability and employment work. He is recognised as being a courtroom performer, with recent directory comments describing him as ‘a superb cross-examiner’; ‘an excellent junior, whose advice is amazingly coherent and concise’; ‘excellent on paper, tigerish in court’; ‘an assassin in cross-examination and clearly bound for the very highest echelons of the Bar’.

Whilst often pitched against more senior opponents in commercial trials and arbitrations, he is equally at ease working within a team of lawyers in substantial disputes and has been described in the directories as a ‘good-natured and good-humoured team player’ and as ‘very responsive and proactive, and someone who makes really strenuous efforts to make himself available'. He has acted in a variety of mediations and other forms of ADR.
