Janet Rosser

Biography

Janet is a qualified solicitor with more than twenty five years practical experience . After several years working in general practice, Janet joined the corporate group of Eversheds , one of the largest UK  and international law firms . Janet was one of the firm's first specialist practice lawyers , a role providing technical expertise to both UK and international lawyers and clients. 

In this role, Janet was responsible for writing and presenting in house training on all aspects of company law to corporate and non corporate lawyers. Janet also kept the corporate group and clients up to date on new developments in the law through briefings and produced precedents and associated technical briefing notes for the firm.

In 2006, Janet took responsibility as part of a small team for the strategic implementation of the (then) new Companies Act, analysing and interpreting its provisions, converting that into updates and new precedents and training and advising lawyers on its implementation.

Since 2010 Janet has been lead editor for Tolley's company law handbook. Outside of the law she is a non executive director.
