Daniel Rooke

Biography

Daniel Rooke is the General Counsel and member of the management team at Cycle Pharmaceuticals, a Cambridge-based pharmaceutical company specialising in the development and commercialisation of drug compounds for the rare and orphan drug markets across the world. Having global responsibility for Cycle Pharmaceuticalâ??s legal function, Daniel regularly advises on a wide range of global legal and strategic matters, sits on several committees and also heads up Cycle Pharmaceuticalsâ?? corporate compliance function.

Prior to moving in-house, Daniel established, developed and grew Howard Kennedyâ??s corporate PSL function and prior to that, spent the majority of his career as a senior lawyer in Taylor Wessingâ??s Corporate Technology team where he specialised in advising clients in the technology and healthcare spaces (ranging from start-ups to multinationals) on a variety of international corporate matters (VC and PE investments, M&A deals, tech transfers, corporate and commercial joint ventures international licence deals and re-organisations). During Danielâ??s time at Taylor Wessing, Daniel was noted as a leading individual in Chambers & Partners and was included in their â??associate to watchâ? category for corporate and venture capital matters.

Daniel is a lecturer for PraxisAuril, for whom he has lectured on venture capital investments, trade sales and tech transfers.
