Sam Bewick

Biography

Samantha is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a Fellow of Insol International (Honours) Samantha joined KPMG in 1989. She specialises in turnaround assignments and various forms of recovery solutions for under-performing companies. She has been involved in Restructuring since 1992, during which time she has gained experience across a broad range of economic and industrial sectors. She specialises in complex cross-border solutions. She has been involved in restructuring a major Russian bank, the s425 schemes of arrangement of Barings plc and Cape plc, the restructuring of Marconi and the CVAs of the TXU companies. Samantha has also been Supervisor of a complex CVA driven by financial assistance issues. She deals with option analysis and contingency planning for major international entities. She has assisted in the restructuring aspects of a major forensic accounting project. She was Joint Supervisor of Schefenacker plc, project director on Mainsail II Limited, a SIV-Lite. She is Liquidator of Teathers Limited, a stockbroker, and was Joint Supervisor of the CVA of Linpac Group Ltd. She has also been involved in several confidential projects dealing with cross-border enforcement issues. Most recently she has been involved in the administration of the Connaught Group and has been appointed administrator of Bridge Business Recovery LLP. Samantha is a member of the ICAEW Insolvency Committee, R3 Pensions Sub-committees and has been involved in the Government consultations on special resolution regimes for investment banks dealing with restructuring issues.
