Mike Pavitt

Mike is a Partner in, and Head of Corporate Restructuring & Insolvency at, regional firm Paris Smith LLP, based in Southampton and Winchester. With this firm and with his previous firm (Blake Lapthorn, now Blake Morgan) he has been involved in numerous reported decisions relating to personal insolvency, in which he is ranked by Chambers as a leader in the field, UK-wide. On the corporate side, amongst other highlights he has led teams dealing with the legal aspects of major administrations - trading and otherwise - predominantly in the retail, leisure and transport sectors and has advised directors of major sporting venues facing insolvency related issues. Mike is an active committee member within R3 and current Vice-Chairman for the Southern Region. He frequently blogs and tweets (as @InsolLawMan) on insolvency issues, he maintains the Southern Business Recovery LinkedIn group, contributes articles to RECOVERY magazine and is invited to speak at insolvency conferences.
