Martin Parry

Martin Parry is an Emeritus Reader in Law at the University of Hull, where he taught Family Law for thirty years, and where he continues to lecture on Child Protection and Private International Family Law. He graduated from Leicester University and was a solicitor in private practice before pursuing an academic career. His appointments include Academic Member, Grimsby and Kingston-upon-Hull Designated Family Judge's Forum and Associate Hospital Manager (Mental Health Act 1983) Humber NHS Foundation Trust.

He has published widely in the area of Family Law. Within that field his published work currently concentrates upon child law in particular as joint author of Butterworths Family Law Service, Volume 3, Children. He also jointly authored Butterworths New Law Guide: The Adoption and Children Act 2002.
