Alison Padfield, QC

Alison is a specialist in commercial litigation. She has particular expertise in insurance and reinsurance, professional negligence claims, professional disciplinary proceedings and equality and human rights law.

Alison's recent work includes a wide range of insurance claims, both on her own and with Colin Edelman QC and Colin Wynter QC, including claims arising out of mortgage fraud and claims raising issues of notification/failure to comply with conditions precedent, misrepresentation and non-disclosure, and construction of policy wording including aggregation clauses. She has also been involved in litigation involving claims by major legal expenses insurers against panel solicitors for breach of terms of business/coverholders' agreement.
