Michael J Beloff QC

Biography

The Honourable Michael J Beloff QC is Vice-President and Emeritus Chairman of the Administrative Law Bar Association, Chairman of the International Cricket Council Code of Conduct Commission and Senior Ordinary Appeal Judge of Jersey and Guernsey. He was called to the Bar in 1967, appointed Queen's Counsel in 1981, and is Master of the Bench and former Treasurer of Gray’s Inn.

Michael graduated from the University of Oxford with degrees in history and law, and was President of Trinity College, Oxford between 1996 and 2006, as well as Treasurer of Grays Inn 2008. He became a Member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in 1996 and after being an arbitrator in the 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games, was elected as a judge of the FIA's International Court of Appeal in 2010. Soon after, Michael was appointed to the International Cricket Council's World Cup 2011 dispute resolution panel.

He acted as a contributor on the Sports Law volume of Halsbury's Laws of England, and as a consultant on the Time volume. He also published 'The Sex Discrimination Act' (1976)
