John Bell Biography John is a paralegal in the LexisPSL Corporate Crime and Personal Injury teams. He supports both teams with the development of practical guidance on white collar, business crime and personal injury topics and issues. John speaks fluent French and has a particular interest in EU law and Brexit having gained practical experience of advising on the legislative implications of Brexit at EU level. John has experience of legal research, drafting and liaising with a broad range of stakeholders in the public sector both in the context of prosecutions and the implementation of policy. He previously worked at the Serious Fraud Office, within the Bribery and Corruption Division, working on disclosure matters for high profile investigations and successful prosecutions. He also assisted with mutual assistance liaison. John was a Schuman Trainee at the European Parliament in Brussels, where he gained extensive experience of the inner workings of the EU legislative process within the Directorate General for Internal Policies. John drafted briefings on Parliamentary Committee meetings and worked on the implementation of the Commission’s Work Programme as well as advising on the legislative implications of Brexit. He also contributed to the drafting of the Code of Conduct for Commissioners.
