Biography

Louisa joined Landmark Chambers in February 2010 after completing her third six, having previously done pupillage at Falcon Chambers.

Louisa accepts instructions in a wide range of real property disputes and landlord and tenant matters, both residential and commercial. She regularly appears in the County Court, the Companies Court, the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal, and before HMLR Adjudicator. She also has experience of mediation advocacy in relation to common ownership and trust dispute cases.

In relation to real property, Louisa is instructed in a variety of matters including undertaking trials in relation to boundary disputes, adverse possession and proprietary estoppel. She regularly advises on conveyancing matters, easements, restrictive covenants, mortgages, trusts and land registration issues. She worked in an advisory capacity on the St Paul's protestors case and has a wealth of experience in dealing with trespass actions. Louisa also regularly acts and advises in residential landlord and tenant cases including complex possession claims, service charges and leasehold enfranchisement. In relation to commercial work, Louisa has advised and acted in relation to forfeiture claims and surrounding insolvency issues, lease renewals under the 1954 Act, and issues arising under the Landlord and Tenant (Covenants) Act 1995.
