Rachel Montagnon BSc, MA, PGDip

Biography

Rachel Montagnon is a professional support consultant in the Intellectual Property group at Herbert Smith. Her role involves her in client and internal training, technical advice to client teams, internal and external briefings on developments in IP law and practice, know how management and business development for the group. She has articles published regularly in the major IP and legal journals on a wide variety of IP topics and was recently appointed to the editorial board of The Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice.

Rachel also speaks at external conferences, gives webinars, podcasts and presents to clients at their offices, in particular on copyright and trade mark issues. Rachel has a medical sciences degree as well as a law degree and a diploma in intellectual property.

Prior to taking a professional support role, Rachel practised in the Herbert Smith IP group, where she worked on a range of trade mark, copyright and patent matters, from individual pieces of advice to major litigation.
