Robin Mitchell

Robin trained with the Edinburgh firm of Connell & Connell, subsequently taking up a position with them as a qualified assistant in 2004. He moved to Menzies Dougal for a couple of years before joining Archibald Campbell & Harley (AC&H) in 1998, becoming a partner with that firm in 2002. Robin became a partner with the national firm Shoosmiths LLP in 2012, following that firmâ??s merger with AC&H.

Having established a reputation in the field of landlord and tenant work, Robin assisted the RICS in the preparation of the Scottish version of the Code of Practice on Service Charges in Commercial Properties and he is the co-author of the book Commercial Leases, published by Butterworths in 2010. He also sits on the Law Society of Scotland panel which considers the award of specialist accreditation in commercial leasing.

Robinâ??s practice consists mainly of acting for occupiers of commercial (particularly retail) premises but he also acts for a number of clients, based both in the UK and overseas, in the acquisition and disposal of high-value investment properties in Scotland.
