Alison Meek is a litigator specialising in contentious trust and estate work. She acts for both professional trustees and trust companies and for beneficiary clients in the UK and offshore.
She is a founder and committee member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) and contributes frequently to specialist journals in her field. She is joint author of â€˜The Practitionerâ€™s Guide to Contentious Trusts and Estatesâ€™ and a contributor to â€˜Finance and the Law for the Older Clientâ€™. She is also one of four editors and a contributor to a book published by OUP in January 2012: International Trust Disputes.
She has been appointed by the High Court as a replacement personal representative and is also a court-appointed deputy in the Court of Protection. She has also been appointed to act as a protector of an off-shore trust.
Alison was trained and accredited as a mediator by ADR Chambers UK in April 2012.
She was described in Legal 500 2012 as a standout practitioner with a 'razor-sharp brain' who is 'seriously brilliant'.
