Jamie is Head of Planning at Travers Smith.
 
His experience covers both contentious and non-contentious planning matters, and he has worked on several complex regeneration, mixed use and housing schemes.
 
He has acted for a diverse range of public and private sector clients including high profile public bodies, funders and commercial developers and national housebuilders.
Having worked in both the private and public sector, Jamie is able to bring insight and perspective to negotiations. 
 
Jamie regularly advises clients on planning applications, policy and legislation, negotiates complex planning and highways agreements, and advises on CIL and viability matters.
He has also acted on planning appeals and judicial reviews. 
 
He is a solicitor advocate with Higher Rights of Audience, and is a member of the Law Society's Planning and Environmental Law Committee. 
 
Jamie also has a strong media profile, having co-founded 'Planning TV' and regularly written for various national publications and practitioner's journals such as The Times and the Property Law Journal
